OBITUARYFLAGLarry MoonAugust 27, 1936 - April 12, 2007Monroe, NCMr. William Larry Moon, 70, of 817 Chambwood Road, Monroe, NC, formerly of Anderson, SC, and husband of Marguerite Silvey Moon, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.Born in Anderson, SC on August 27, 1936, Mr. Moon was a son of the late Alvie Moon and Helen Smith Moon. He was retired from the construction industry as a draftsman and estimator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weddington, NC. Mr. Moon was a United States Navy veteran.Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Silvey Moon of the home; daughters, Carol M. Swink of Anderson, and Rene' M. Collins and her husband, Chris of Monroe, NC; a sister, Jo Howell of Pendleton, SC and four grandchildren, Brandon Swink, Jessica Swink, Caitlin Collins and Liam Collins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger F. Moon.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverend Bill Fogarty and the Reverend Steve Silvey.
