He was a United States Army World War II veteran having served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sumter, SC. He is survived by his daughters, Vicki Northcutt of Paradise Valley, AZ., Kathy Northcutt Roser and her husband, Jim of Anderson, SC and Linda Northcutt Doss of Goose Creek, SC; seven grandchildren, Jason Bannister, Ian Bannister, Carl Bannister, John Doss, Rebecca Roser, Kyle Roser and Kris Roser; eight great-grandchildren; nephews, Elwin Northcutt and E. S. Van BenSchoten; nieces Brenda Anderson, Daphne Gardner and Allyson Moe.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Frances Wilbanks Northcutt; twin brother, Paul Elwin Northcutt and sister, Evelyn VanBen Schoten.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Debbie Foster. A Committal Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 24, 2011 at M. J. 'Dolly' Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.
