William Ray Evans, age 90, of Easley, SC, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born December 16, 1933, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Woodrow Evans and Ruby Norris Evans. He was the devoted husband of Louise Parham Evans for 60 years until her death in 2019. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Giles.

William was a graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed with ATL Motor Lines. He was an avid golfer, passionate Clemson fan, and a true southern gentleman. He was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley.

He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Evans Knight and her husband Larry of Easley; grandchildren, Sam Roach of Easley, Landon Roach of Easley, Tiffany Knight Robinson (Brett) of Easley, and Rebecca Knight Chappell (Devin) of Pickens; and great grandchildren, Sam Roach, Jr., Maddox Robinson, Selah Kate Robinson, Nellie Ray Chappell, and Lynlee Chappell.

No services will be held.
