Rice, Jr., age, 79, husband of Lorine Gillespie Rice of 604 Timberlake Road, Anderson, SC, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on May 27, 1927, Mr. Rice was a son of the late William R. Rice, Sr., and Montine Ethel Sisk Rice. He was a United States Navy veteran and was retired from Pillowtex. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lorine Gillespie Rice of the home; sons, Michael Steven Rice and his wife, Beth of Simpsonville, SC and William R. Rice III and his wife, Tina of Maineville, OH; daughters, Marilyn Marie Harris and her husband, James of Anderson, SC and Marsha Gibson of Greenville, SC; brother, Gerald Rice and his wife, Shirley of Anderson, SC; sisters, Dorothy Wilbanks and Bobbie Sue Whitt, both of Anderson, SC and Carolyn Ellison and her husband, Truman of Belton, SC.
