He was a former employee of Merita Bakery in the maintenance department for 25 years and also worked with Stauffer/Vytech Company for 12 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a radio operator stationed in Germany. Mr. Lee was a member of River of Life Church of God (formerly McDuffie Street Church of God) where he was also a member of the choir for many years.In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Terry Lee of the home; daughter, Argean Lee Lollis and her husband, Doug of Starr; brother, Robert E. Lee of Anderson; three grandchildren, Laura Herbster and and her husband, Tom, Deron Lollis and his wife, Kim, Tim Lollis and his wife, Lisa; three great-grandchildren, Kimbral, Savannah and Caleb.He was preceded in death by a son, Vernon Dean Lee; six brothers and four sisters. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home.
