WILLIAM 'BILL' SMITH December 25, 1937 - August 9, 2007WILLIAMSTON, SCMr. William Henry Smith, age 69 of 4110 Six & Twenty Road, Williamston, SC, husband of the late Louise Bowen Smith, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville.Born in Piercetown Community, SC on December 25, 1937, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Harmon Newton Smith Sr., and Alma Hicks Smith. He retired in 2003 after 28 years of service with John D. Hollingsworth on Wheels Inc. and also worked with American Security. He was a member of the Slabtown Masonic Lodge #233 and a member of Six & Twenty Baptist Church.Survivors include his sons, Michael Smith and his wife, Jackie; Tim Smith and his wife, Shirley; and Bobby Smith and his wife, Tina, all of Williamston, SC; five grandchildren, Benjy, Nikki, Kevin, Justin and Amber; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Ethan and a special dedicated friend, Martha Compton.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harmon N. Smith, Jr., and two sisters, Emily Jean Smith and Evelyn Mullikin Saylors. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Six & Twenty Baptist Church with the Reverends Willie Honea and Gene Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Anderson with Masonic Rites.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, August 11, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mr. Smith will be placed in the church at 2:30 pm on Sunday.The family will be at the home of his son, Michael Smith, 4104 Six & Twenty Road, Williamston, SC.Flowers are optional.
