Strickland of 4907 Dobbins Bridge Road, Anderson, SC, died Monday, August 25, 2008.Born in Starr, SC on October 15, 1937, Mr. Strickland was a son of Nancy Orene Walker Strickland and the late Albert Strickland. He was a retired Warrant Officer in the United States Army having served 32 years. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and the Bee Keeper's Association of America.He is survived by his mother, Nancy Orene Walker Strickland; his wife of 52 years, Shirley H. Strickland; sons Ricky Strickland and Mark Strickland and his wife Delores; sisters, Jewelene Harbert, Joyce Mattison, and Audrey Scott; grandchildren, Big Adam, Little Adam, Hannah, and Jonathon and one great grandson, Aiden.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Strickland.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 2:00 pm in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Thomas Maxwell and Tony Brown officiating.
