WILLIAM JOSEPH TROWBRIDGE, JR.JULY 5, 1951 - April 30, 2007GREENVILLE, SCMr. William Joseph Trowbridge, Jr., age 55, of Greenville and formerly of Anderson died on Monday, April 30, 2007.Born in Highlands, North Carolina on July 5, 1951, Mr. Trowbridge was a son of the late William Joseph Trowbridge and Betty King Trowbridge. Being a third generation restaurant entrepreneur, he can be best remembered for his association with Po Folks, Good Gravy, and Breeze's Restaurants and he was currently employed by U.S. Food Services in Greenville. Bill was a very kind and gentle person who was always willing to help everyone. Most of all his personality, quick whit, and sense of humor composed the Bill Trowbridge that everyone knew and loved. Mr. Trowbridge also served in the United States Navy. Bill is survived by his sisters, Kay Trowbridge Thomas and her husband, Alfred W. Thomas III of Greenville, SC and Patty Trowbridge Kornegay of Camden, SC; nephews, Robert R. Hayes and his wife, Leslie of Anderson, SC, Joshua B. Gallagher of Brevard, NC, George V. Kornegay, Jr., of Camden, Alfred Walter Thomas IV of Greenville, SC; nieces, Casey Gallagher of Copper Mountain, CO, Meredith Thomas of Greenville, SC, Heather Kornegay Zemp of Columbia, SC, Georgia Kornegay Frazier of Gaithersburg, MD; great-nephews, Dodgen Few-Gallagher and Harrison Hayes and a great-niece, Sarah Hayes.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Robert Trowbridge and Michael Hudson Trowbridge and brother-in-law, George V. Kornegay.The Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2007 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, with the Reverend Dr. Dennis F. Tedder officiating.
