'Bill' Wallace, Sr. age 81, passed away on October 23, 2010, at Magnolia's of Anderson.Born in Columbia, SC, Mr. Wallace was the son of the late Albert Jerome Wallace and Ila Hart Wallace. He graduated Brooklyn Cayce High School, West Columbia, SC, where he was All-State in baseball and football. Bill was the owner of Wallace Tire & Recapping Company; he was also an independent business owner with Amway for over 40 years. He served in the National Guard for 17 ' years and was a member of Concord Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, of fifty -one years Kay Perkins Wallace; son, William L. Wallace, Jr. of Nashville, TN; daughter, Debbie Terry and her husband, Tom of Anderson; three grandchildren; Alyssa Brooke Wallace, Kristen Alexia Terry and Kay Alyse Terry.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Dr. Don Cox. Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 pm until 3:45 pm.
