Wells, age 87, of 203 Evergreen Church Road, husband of the late Maggie Williams Wells, died Monday, June 06, 2011 at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Toccoa, GA, he was a son of the late Silas Rod Wells and Bertha Feltman Wells. He was retired from Wamsutta Mill with 25 years of service and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. Mr. Wells was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.Survivors include his children: Haskell Wells of Royston, David Wells and his wife, Myra of Williamston, Ricky Wells of Anderson and Chad Wells and his wife, Kim of Abbeville; daughters, Patricia Humphries of Pendleton, Nancy Tannery and her husband Raymond of Anderson, Tammy Moore and her husband, Ronnie of Starr and Sharon Williamson and her husband Randall of Anderson; sisters, Katherine Lewis and Tudy Freeman, both of Anderson and many grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Caroline Pittard and several brothers and sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 11:00 am officiated by the Reverends Sam Duncan and Toby Humphries.
