Willie Pearl Allen, age 94, of Townville, passed away at her residence on January 23, 2014. Born on September 17, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Waco Cartee and the late Mimmie Timms Cartee. Mrs. Allen retired from Singer Manufacturing. She was a long-time, faithful member of Oakdale Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen was the widow of the late R. Clyde Allen. She is survived by one daughter, Betty Joyce Eppes, and her husband Leroy, of Townville; one brother, Harold Cartee, of Arden, NC; three grandchildren, Theresa Ann Goovaerts of Six Mile, SC, Roy Colie Eppes and his wife, Donna Marie, of Seminole, FL and Michael Lee Eppes and his wife, Angie, of Six Mile, SC; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Elizabeth Bendts and Carrie Pepper. The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. David Blizzard officiating.
