Willie Faye Farmer, age 90, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Oconee County, SC, on September 17, 1925, she was the daughter of the late James Harrison Vickery and the late Louwade Durham Vickery. She retired from Scott Manufacturing Company after 25 years of service. Faye was a long-time faithful member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Faye was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a great and loving friend to many. She is survived by her two daughters, Peggy Farmer Tschudin and her husband Bud, of Denver, NC, Vicki Bridges and her husband Rickey, of Anderson, SC; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Farmer, Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Adam Bridges and his wife, Megan, Katelyn Young and her husband Daniel, Melissa Moorehead and her husband John, and Kandice Hagan and her husband Seth; great-grandchildren, Addison Faye and Avery Grace Bridges, Libby Moorehead, and Hannah, Leah, Lucas, and Danny Cooper Hagan; sister, Blanche Alewine, of Dayton, TN; and sisters-in-law, Mary Vickery, of Moorestown, TN and Pauline Vickery, of Lavonia, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Henry Norman Farmer; a son, Danny Farmer; brothers, Dyke, Paul, Mac, and Bill H. Vickery; and sisters, Louise Tillman and Jewell Mullinax. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Glenn Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The members of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class will serve as the honorary escort.
