Willie Ray Hunsinger, age 71, of Anderson, SC, devoted husband to Sidney Elizabeth Fritts Hunsinger, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born March 4, 1950, in Seneca, SC, he was the son of the late J.D. Hunsinger and Martha Jane Hill Hunsinger. Willie served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He worked in Automotive Body Repair where he later retired and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. In addition to his loving wife Sidney, he is survived by his children, Kenneth Wells of Anderson, SC, Michael Wells (Sara) of Anderson, SC, Karen Willis (Jay) of Surgoinsville, TN, and Kelly Bowen (Joey) of Anderson, SC; brothers, Frank Hunsinger of Seneca, SC, Jerry Hunsinger (Anne) of Utah, and Rev. Ed Hunsinger (Gail) of Anderson, SC; sisters, Sue Wheeler (Robert) of Anderson, SC, and Ina Davis of Anderson, SC; 12 grandchildren, Marie Shores, Candice Bowen, Kenneth Wells, Mikala Willis, Kate Wells, Alexis Wells, Kirsten Wells, Zachary Bowen, Gracie Willis, Jayden Bowen, Steven Wells, and Dusty Maxwell; and six great-grandchildren. A service will be held at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
