WILLIE MAE MADDOX March 21, 1922 - July 28, 2012 Mrs. Willie Mae Sullivan Maddox, age 90, of 1501 E. Greenville Street, died at her residence on Saturday, July 28, 2012. Born in Townville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Sullivan and the late Lillian Bell Gambrell Sullivan. For 50 years, she was the devoted wife of the late William "Bill" O. Maddox who died in 1986. Mrs. Maddox was a home maker who loved her family, her friends, and her Lord. She was a woman who had the strength, courage and faith to survive the passing of her beloved husband, all three of her children, a brother and sister, her parents, and so many other relatives and friends. She is survived by a brother, Harold G. Sullivan and his wife, Barbara, of Anderson; 8 grandchildren: Donna, Shannon, Yonna, Stephan, Mark, Joe, Randall, and Matthew; also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Bill, and her parents, Willie Mae was preceded in death by sons, Joe and Ray Maddox; daughter, Barbara Anne Seigler; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Betty Sullivan; sister and brother-in-law, Dot and Wayne Hendricks. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at 2 PM at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM.
