MAE McALISTER March 21, 1937 - September 23, 2013 Pendleton, SC Willie Mae Swaney McAlister, age 76, of 603 Central Road, Pendleton, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Pendleton, SC, she was the daughter of the late B.F. Swaney and the late Eunice Powell Swaney. Mae was a 1955 graduate of Pendleton High School. She worked for BiLo in Pendleton for over 32 years. She was a member of Faith Fellowship Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Roy McAlister, of the home; a son, Steven McAlister of Pendleton, SC; a daughter, Stacey Harrison and her husband Johnny of Pendleton; two brothers, Lewis and Ernest Swaney; and three sisters, Joyce Long, Shelby Stamey and Loretta Hendrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Swaney; a sister, Faye Kendal; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth U. McAlister. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Jimmy Cox and Reverend Arnold Hiette officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
