Cole, age 66, husband of Suzanne Thomas-Cole of 305 Sandy Shores Drive, Townville, SC, died Monday, July 30, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on November 14, 1940, Mr. Cole was a son of the late Hovie Jerome Cole and Maggie Lillian Graham Cole. He was a United States Army veteran serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. He retired from BASF after 29 years of service. Mr. Cole worked in Research and Development and received two patents for his design of textile machinery. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Jason Jerome Cole and his wife, Jaime and Corey Stephen Cole, all of Anderson, SC; step-son, Glenn Thomas of Toledo, OH; sisters, Mary Isbell Cole of Gray Court, SC and Margene Murdock of Belton, SC. Two grandchildren, Julian Ryce Cole and Jessup Fowler Cole also survive.He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny R. Cole.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Roper officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 2, 2007 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.
