Obituary

Willis Milton "King" King, age 70, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Calhoun Falls, SC, he was the son of the late Willis Melzer King and the late Rosie Woodall King. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. King retired from BASF after many years of service to them. He was a member of the Ruff Lodge AF&M, Hejaz Shrine Temple, and Gethsemane Baptist Temple. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ann Whitten King, of the home; sons, Dennis Chastain and Randy King, both of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Sherry Nester of Virginia; three sisters, Frances Sanders, of California, Marie Burden, of Anderson, SC, and Jo Baker, of Starr, SC; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma King. The Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran's Cemetery with Military Honors and Masonic Rites. Reverend Sam Duncan will officiate. The family will be at the home, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
