William "Willy" Eugene Carter Iva, SC William "Willy" Eugene Carter, age 57, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at his residence. Born in Greenville, SC on September 30, 1957, he was the son of Dorothy Dunn Carter, of Iva, SC and the late James Junior Carter. He enjoyed making wooden toys, working on Volkswagens, and hunting. Willy was a member of Antreville Church of God. In addition to his mother he is survived by his spouse, Rusty Fowler Carter, of Iva; four children, Michael Jay Carter and his wife Sherry, of Hartwell, GA, James Eugene Carter and his wife Kia, of Williamston, Joy Carter Norris and her husband Jerry, of Anderson, SC and Terri Maria Bernice Barber and her husband Patrick, of Norris, SC; brothers, Tony Carter and his wife Barbara, of Barnwell, SC, Timmy Carter and his wife Wallean, of Antreville, SC and Andy Carter, of Antreville; a sister, Lorraine Nichols and her husband Marvin, of Antreville, SC; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Carter; and two sisters, Patricia Gleaton Carter and Debbie Burns. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Gene Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Antreville Church of God Cemetery. The family will be at the home of his son, Jamie, 1019 Garren Road, Belton, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
