Wilma Claire Lazar Beasley, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Thomson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Milledge Leroy Lazar and the late Stella Richards Lazar. She owned and operated BB Daycare for over 36 years in Belvedere, SC. She was a member of Belvedere Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine McCown and her husband John, of Anderson, SC;; two grandchildren, Brittany McCown (Scott), and Kelsey McCown; a great-grandchild, Bentley Mason Covert; a sister, Mary L. Burckhalter, of North Augusta, SC; newphews, Ronald Burckhalter, and Randy Burckhalter and his wife Sharon, all of North Augusta, SC; one great niece, Taylor and one great nephew, Christopher; many cousins; and all of the special children she cared for over the many years. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend John Davis officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
