Wilma Marie Konetzki Cocchia Bigger, age 81, of Abbeville, SC, formerly of Townville, SC, entered her heavenly rest Saturday, May 21, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born November 11, 1940, in Bad Aibling, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Richard Konetzki and the late Paula Glas Konetzki. Wilma was employed at the U.S. Post Office in Pendleton, SC, where she later retired, and was also formerly employed at The Sweetery of Anderson. She was a lover of all animals, especially her cats, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, Richard S. Cocchia (Kim) of Abbeville, SC, Tanya C. Charping (Alan) of Pendleton, SC, and Carla C. Branyon of Anderson, SC; brother, Richard Konetzki (Hilde) of Kobblemor, Germany; sister, Hanni Knobel (Dieter) of Willing, Germany; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Patrick Bigger, Jr. who passed away in 2015; first husband, Salvatore Cocchia who passed away in 1983; and son, Nick Cocchia. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Howell officiating. Visitation and burial will be private for family only.
