HEDDENJune 30, 1909 - December 8, 2008Mrs. Wilma Nicholson Hedden, age 99, formerly of 302 F Street, Anderson, SC, wife of the late Gus Roosevelt Hedden, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Hart Care Center in Hartwell, GA.Born in Hiawassee, GA, she was a daughter of the late Hiram Parks Nicholson and Caroline Chasteen Nicholson. She retired from Abney Mills and was a charter member of McDuffie Street Church of God.Survivors include her son, Aubrey Hedden and his wife Donna; two sons-in-law Roy Chambers and Willie Estes, all of Anderson; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Vernon Hedden; two daughters, Janet Chambers and Aleen Estes; two brothers; five sisters and a grandson, Deputy Marcus L. Whitfield.The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 2:00 pm officiated by the Reverends Bruce and Steve Chambers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm.
