VAUGHNHONEA PATH, SCMrs. Wilma Brock Vaughn, age 59, wife of Herbert Freeman Vaughn, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Abbeville County, she was the daughter of the late Otis Wallace and Lillie Mae Davis Brock. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Honea Path where she served on the VSP Committee. For the past 35 consecutive years, she served as a Sunday School teacher in the Preschool Department. She was a sitter for over 20 elderly families in the Honea Path area. Mrs. Vaughn was a homemaker and gave unselfishly to her family, church, and friends.She is survived by her husband of 39 years; her children, Michele V. Simmons and her husband, Chris, Herbert F. 'Rocky' Vaughn III, and Kevin Wallace Vaughn and his wife, Millie; four beloved grandsons, Matthew & Noah Simmons and Koby & Austin Vaughn; brothers and sisters: Luther 'Shine' Brock and his wife, Edith; Rachel McCoy and her husband, Thomas Ray, all of Belton; Louise Lollis and her husband, O. E.; Thomas Brock and his wife, Jeanne, all of Honea Path; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Peggy V. Packer of Simpsonville; Shirley V. Bowling and her husband, Ben of Wellford; Patsy V. Strickland of Williamston; Jerry Vaughn of Honea Path; Roy Vaughn and his wife, Teresa of Anderson and numerous other family members. She was predeceased by her parents, four infant siblings, and a sister, Bessie B. Richey.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Honea Path conducted by the Reverend Mike Moody, the Reverend Robert Beaver, and the Reverend Dr. Ron Culbertson. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Honea Path on Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family is at the residence, 4 Wildwood Drive, Honea Path.In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to the Preschool Department of the First Baptist Church, 100 S.
