May 17, 1958 - December 16, 2009IVA, SCWilson Fletcher 'Stretch' Cooper, Jr., age 51, husband of Maggi Dykes Cooper of 116-A Drake Circle, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at his residence.Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 17, 1958, Mr. Cooper was the son of Mary Lackey Cooper of Iva and the late Reverend Wilson Fletcher Cooper, Sr. He was a 1976 graduate of Abbeville High School and received a degree in engineering from Clemson University. He was an Electrical Engineer with U.S.G. Interiors in Cartersville, GA for ten years and upon moving to the Anderson area in 1996, he was employed with the Frigidaire Corporation. Wilson was a talented musician and was a member of Hunt Street Full Gospel Church in Anderson.In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Ashley Smith and her husband Lee of Iva; sons, Jarrod Cooper of Iva, Mitchell Morris of Cartersville and Jeremy Dennis of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Daisey Smith, Jaiden Smith and Blaze Cooper.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Dale Duckett, Reverend Brian Brock and Linda Brock.
