YOUNGJANUARY 9, 1915 - DeceMBER 5, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Winford Earl Young, age 94, husband of the late Ruth Webb Young, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anniston, AL, on January 9, 1915, he was a son of the late Newt Lafayette Young and Alice McAlpine Young. He was the retired owner of Young's Garage and was a member of Barnette's Grove Cathedral.Survivors include his children: daughter, Wynette Young Singleton of Belton, SC; son, Anthony Wayne Young of Clermont, FL; two grandchildren: Julie Singleton Colquitt and Nathan Paul Young; and three great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his parents; wife; son, Earl Lafayette Young; sisters: Ida Mae Davis, Lottie McCollum, Pauline Stephens, and Marilyn Weir; and brothers: Alan T. Young and Idas Gay Young.The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm on Monday, December 7, 2009, at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Bob Hicks. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by the Reverend T. Dale Lynch.The family is at the home of David & Wynette Singleton, 206 Palmetto Parkway, Belton.
