OBITUARY/WITH PHOTOWINIFRED M. MARTINJanuary 5, 1929 - May 24, 2008ANDERSON, SCWinifred M. Martin, 79, passed away May 24, 2008 at the Hospice of the Upstate in Anderson, SC after a brief illness. Winifred was born in Brewer, Maine January 5, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Gladys Murray and Herrick Murray.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard J, Martin of Anderson, SC; two sons, Richard J. Martin, Jr. and wife, Cheryl of Portsmouth, R.I. and Stephen Martin and wife, Debbie, of Huntersville, N.C. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Chris Martin of Washington, DC, Monique Martin of Portsmouth, R.I., Kate Martin of Huntersville, N.C. and Cori Martin, also of Huntersville, N.C. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Helene Cassidy.A funeral service and final interment will take place in Brewer, Maine later this summer.
