Mrs. Childs retired from the textiles industry and was a member of River of Life Church of God.Survivors include her children: a daughter, Rita C. Getsinger and husband, Tony of Anderson, SC; a son, Robert Lee Childs and wife, Pat of Belton, SC; two sisters: Juanita Faust and Eva Mae Garner, both of Anderson, SC; a sister-in-law, Etolie Crane of Anderson, SC; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Martha Childs; two brothers: Bobby Carlton Allen and Henry Verner Allen; and a step brother, Haskell Crane.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home.
