The McDougald Funeral Home 2211 North Main Street Anderson, South Carolina 29621 864-224-4343 OBITUARY: ANDERSON, SC Yong Sun Crocker December 24, 1953 - May 18, 2013 Yong Sun Crocker, age 59, of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Rainey Hospice House. She was the preceded in death by her parents, Un Son Kim (father) and Pok Sun Yim (mother) of South Korea, and her husband, Arthur Crocker of Anderson, South Carolina. Yong Sun was born in South Korea on December 24, 1953 and moved to the US (Anderson, South Carolina) in 1984 with her husband and daughter. She assimilated very well into the culture of the United States and she especially adapted to the southern dialect and way of life. She became very proficient in her second language, English, while she maintained her native language, Korean as well. Yong Sun enjoyed gardening and aviary observations, reflected in her love of nature. Yong Sun was a loving mother who would sacrifice her wants and needs for the benefit of her daughter. She gave without any expectations or conditions, and loved to read the word of the Lord and sing praises of Him. Yong Sun was a woman who was quick to laugh, love, and give, especially to her immediate family. She leaves behind her daughter, Peggy Snyder, and son-in-law, Steven Snyder, both of Portage, IN. She also leaves behind her siblings of South Korea: Chang Kun Kim, Sincholwon-Ri Kim, Kamal-Up Kim, Cholwon-Kun Kim, and Kangwon-Do.
