Yvonne Ernestine "MeMaw" Riggins Henderson, age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, March, 17, 2022 at Rainey Hospice House. Born November 6, 1936 in Pickens, she was the daughter of the late Luther Riggins and Christine Masters Riggins. She was married to James Willie Henderson until his death in 1997. Yvonne enjoyed bowling, karaoke, and reading and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. MeMaw will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Wanda Griffin, Eddie Henderson, Ronnie Henderson, and Hope Williamson; sister, Ruth Dixon; 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters. The family will receive friends Monday, March 21, 2022, from 10:30-11:30 am at Temple Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at noon with Dr. Steve Hurte and Rev. Mark Tinsley officiating. Burial will follow at Andersonville Baptist Church Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Flowers are accepted and memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Wanda Griffin.
