Yvonne G. Shaw Anderson, SC Yvonne Gause Shaw, known as "The Muffin Lady of Anderson" age 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Newberry, SC, on February 1, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Gause and the late Lucille Meadors Gause. She was a 1954 graduate of Abbeville High School. After graduation, she owned and operated a Hair Salon in her home in Calhoun Falls for many years. After moving to the Iva area, she became a buffet cook. Yvonne enjoyed reading and writing poetry about her Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Iva, where she served on the Benevolence Committee for many years and was known for her turkey and dressing and strawberry shortcake. She is survived by her children, Yvette Ruzicka, of Anderson and Kenneth L. Scott, of Iva, SC; a sister, Pat Dill and her husband Clayton, Harwich, MA; two grandchildren, Derrick H. Burton and his wife Leah and Bryan L. Burton and his wife Rachel; three great-grandchildren, Austin, Dylan and Sawyerr; she is also survived by her step children and step grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Shaw; and two sisters. The Funeral will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Iva with Reverend Jerry Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Yvette Ruzicka and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Benevolence Fund of First Baptist Church of Iva, PO Box 475, Iva, SC 29655.
