AYERS July 30, 1934 - July 1, 2007STARR, SCMrs. Zoah Burdette Ayers, age 72 of 1506 Flat Rock Road, wife of Oscar V. Ayers, Jr., died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at her residence.Born in Anderson County, SC on July 30, 1934, Mrs. Ayers was the daughter of the late Samuel Jackson Burdette and Ola Gilreath Burdette. She worked at Riverside Mill for a number of years and also Anderson Mill and Wamsutta Mill. She was a devoted member of North Anderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.Survivors include her husband, Oscar V. Ayers, Jr., of the home; daughters, Tammy Ayers Padgett and her husband, James, Susie Ayers Spainhour and her husband, Robert; son, William V. Ayers and his wife, Dawn, all of Anderson; grandchildren, Whitney and Crawford Ayers and Pasha and Kristina Spainhour, all of Anderson; brothers, Willie Burdette of Iva, Leo Burdette of Anderson and Harold Burdette of Belton.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Theo, Henry and Sam Burdette.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend J. Floyd Stansell, Jr., officiating.
